Offerings: The offering on Sunday, 5 October, was for Theological Education and amounted to R 1.293,15.
Birthdays: Today, Sunday, 12 October: Eva-Marie Freese; Monday, 13 October: Nokuthula Nsindane; Friday, 17 October: Michelle Forsyth.

Sarah Schamm's Baptism:
Sarah Schamm will be baptised in our church next Sunday, 19 October, during the 08.30 service. This service will be a Family Service, so that the children can witness the events of the baptism. (There will be a 10.00 a.m. German service afterwards.) Please pray for Sarah, her parents and her godparents, as they prepare their hearts for this special occasion.
Joint Reformation Day Service:
We will celebrate a joint Reformation Day Service on Sunday, 2 November, at 09.00 at Lutherkiche in Durban. The theme will be: "God at work in us and through us!" This will be follwed by a "Bring & Share Lunch"
There will be no service here in New Germany on that day !

to the tea and coffee counter. This is an important and valuable service to your congregation, and we would appreciate an enthusiastic response to this appeal!
Harvest Thanksgiving Service:
On Sunday, 9 November, we will celebrate a special Thanksgiving Service at 8.30,
where we will give thanks for the many blessings we receive from God.
Dedication of Garden of Remembrance:
Our Garden of Remembrance is almost complete, and we will celebrate this in a special Dedication Service on Eternity Sunday, 23 November. We will begin our celebrations at 07.15 with a devotion at our cemetery, continue with a Communion Service at 08.30 in our church, and conclude with the dedication in our new Garden of Remembrance. A "Bring & Share Lunch" will follow these proceedings.
