The Nearness of His Presence

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4

Sometimes your walk with the Lord will take you through valleys. Valleys are narrow places. When God leads you through a valley He does not lead you into despair or fear. Rather, it is a place where He wants you to know Him more intimately. In the narrow places of God’s valleys you become closed in with Him. There is no room for others to walk with you through God’s valleys; there is only room for you and God. It is a place where He comes near and tenderly draws you to Himself. How sweet is the communion you have with Him, how dear to your heart is the nearness of His presence, how assuring and soothing is the comfort of His love.

A Prayer of Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you; The Lord lift up His face upon you and give you peace.

May God’s richest blessings be yours today. May His grace abound toward you, may His love cascade over you and may rivers of His goodness flow abundantly through you. May He bless you with health in your body, joy in your soul and peace in your heart. May He grant you strength for your daily tasks, wisdom in your decisions, favour in your labours and provisions for your daily needs. May God’s great outstretched hand of protection be over you and each family member. May He keep you throughout the day and bring you home safely from every journey. Meditate on These Things

Yesterday, Today and For Ever

In the Lord's Strength

Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
Ephesians 6:10

Live Victoriously

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship.
2 Timothy 4:5

The Life, the Spirit, the Truth

This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to bring faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.

Titus 1:1

The Kingdom Manifested Through You

Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Matthew 4:23.

Powerful Repentance

From that time Jesus began to preach, and say, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:17

Repentance is a powerful word with a positive result. Jesus commanded repentance because He was proclaiming the kingdom. The message of Jesus to every life is this: “You are living in darkness, come to My light; you are dead in your sins, come to Me and live; you are drinking out of muddy pools, come to Me and drink living water; you are indulging in things that do not satisfy, come to me and be made whole; you are living off crumbs, come to Me and eat the bread of life; you are existing on the least, come to Me and delight in the very best; you get things and gather things and yet remain empty, come to Me and be made full.” (Roy Lessin: His Footsteps, My Pathway)

An Affirmation of Trust

We trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those who believe.

Do You Really Trust God?

The God of my rock; in Him will I trust; He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour

2 Samuel 22:3

“We cannot add anything to God’s power, we cannot increase His wisdom, we cannot supply Him with any new information and we cannot improve on anything He has done. What God desires from us is not our efforts but our trust. When God tells us that He is all sufficient, He will be pleased when we trust Him as our sufficiency; when God tells us that He is our provider, He will be pleased when we trust Him for our provisions; when God tells us He is our keeper, He will be pleased when we trust Him to keep us.
